Beautiful puzzle purse valentine from 1830. *When love is met, it is hard to part, if betwixt the two, there is but one heart* Sent by Peter Shirk to Barbara Hoffman, Caernarvon Township. They were married on Valentine’s Day 1832.

Just 3 months now until our wedding! In the last month we toured the flower market, tasted some amazing food at the Four Seasons Restaurant, signed up for dance lessons, met our officiant, and finished our invitations. Woot!

Didn’t realize there was a MUJI in Midtown! It’s in the new New York Times building which I hadn’t seen up close before - very impressive.

Only 5 months til Andy and I get married! In the last month, we had a first look at flowers. I’m really liking white anemones and found out they were my mom’s mom’s favorite flower! She passed away when I was young so I like the idea of incorporating one of her favorite things.

Went through some old pics last night and found these amazing shots of my parents. Unfortunately they’re not dated but the girl on the left is my mom and the pair on the right are my dad and aunt. The originals are beautiful, esp the one on the right which has gorgeous stiching and matting. I totally want to bring a scanner next time I visit my Grandma!

No time for Tumblr lately, sad! Been working on the project I never wanted to work on - Willets Point. No paved roads, no sidewalks, no sewers… hard to believe this is in NYC.
